Mystery Author Ralph McInerny (Father Dowling Mysteries) Dies at Age 80

It's been a season of enormous losses. We just learned of another author gone, effective January 29: Ralph McInerny ... his Father Dowling mysteries had devoted fans. He wrote at least five other series, too, including one under the pen name Monica Quill. His other pen names included Harry Austin, Matthew FitzRalph, Ernan Mackey, and Edward Mackin.
