June 11: 7:45 p.m. The Judevine Mountain Trio (William Parker, upright bass, nagawaram, douss'n-gouni, shakuhachi, dumbek; Hamid Drake, trap set and percussion; David Budbill, spoken word) performs THE FIRE OF COMPASSION: The Meaning of Jazz in Words and Music at the 14th Annual Vision Festival in New York City at Abrons Art Center, 466 Grand Street, at the Henry Street Settlement.
