Our blow-out Vermont Day was a huge success today at Kingdom Books, so I won't write for long -- I need sleep! -- but I just dashed over to the blog where poet Brian Turner often writes, http://homefires.blogs.nytimes.com, and saw this bit, which I want to pass along for the holiday season:

(They adopted me as one of their soldiers and incredibly kind and caring people from many parts of America sent packages and more to me and the soldiers I served with.)
